The terms and conditions set out below apply to all bookings made through the website for the ART B&B Hotel. ART B&B CIC is a company registered in England and Wales (No 10226856) whose registered office is 180 Promenade Blackpool FY1 1RJ. Our VAT registration number is 281 9681 63. The parties to any hotel booking / contract are the hotel (“us”) and the customer (“you”).

Credit Card Authorisation

A credit or debit card pre-authorisation is required for every reservation and will be requested at reception on check in (cash deposits are NOT accepted). No money is taken from your credit card but it will show as a ‘Pending Transaction’.

The date the pre-authorisation gets released varies, depending on your individual credit/debit card.Upon your check out any room charges, damages or extras will be charged to your card, this will appear on your credit card statement within 3 working days. However if you choose to pay the balance with another credit card or method of payment we will cancel the pre-authorisation and this could take up to 10 working days to clear in your account.

We may retain your credit or debit card details temporarily after your stay has ended and you consent to us debiting such amounts for which you are responsible as a result of any damage caused to your ART B&B room by you during your stay, or anything missing once you have left (except any items you are invited to keep). These amounts may be debited from your card without prior notification.

Please don’t throw the TV into our non-existent swimming pool or add your own ‘artworks’ to the walls.

Pricing

All prices shown online are per room per night (unless otherwise stated). They will be the lowest out of any of the channels online. Prices are subject to Value Added Tax at the current prevailing rate, and are already included in the shown rate.

Prices are subject to change without notice. However, your price is guaranteed once you receive a booking confirmation. For the avoidance of doubt, prices do not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, for example, any beverages consumed at the hotel).

The prices shown online are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and until you have received your confirmation number.

Availability

Availability of rooms at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods.

Smoking Policy

Please note that ALL ART B&B Hotel rooms and public areas are NON-SMOKING (£200 fine applies, which we reserve the right to deduct from any credit card pre-authorisation without prior approval, if we deem to be necessary).

You can smoke outside at the back of the hotel and we have thoughtfully provided a push button heater on the wall to aid your smoking enjoyment. There is no smoking at the front of the hotel but only a few metres away across the road is the promenade and beach where you can really enjoy a cigarette and watch the waves and sunset. Ask for a take-out coffee to complete the joy.

Drugs Policy

Sorry guys, it’s a no from us. Use of drugs on the premises will result in you being asked to leave the hotel immediately and permanently blacklisted without refund. Harsh – but we don’t make da law.

Deposits and Prepayments

Full pre-payments are required for all of the rates featured online. Payment is taken from your credit or debit card at the time of booking (or shortly thereafter). See ‘Cancellations and amendments’ below for details on cancellations.

Reservations

After your booking has been confirmed, we will send you an email containing your booking reference number and details. Please bring a copy of this (or save it down on your smartphone) and present this along with the credit / debit card used when checking in. We may also pre-authorise your card for incidentals during the stay. If the room has been booked on your card, but for another lovely person, please do let us know so our receptionists are aware of who the mystery guest is that is due to be arriving.

Cancellations and Amendments

All amendments must be made in accordance with our terms. Room cancellations are unfortunately not permitted for some booking rates. Some allow cancellation up to 1 week before your arrival but this will be clearly stated when you book so just double check which option you are going for.

After check-in, the remaining part of all guest reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable. Where an amendment is not made in accordance with our amendment terms, the payment taken as your deposit is forfeited and is not refundable.

General Information

We are responsible for losses you suffer as a result of ART B&B breaching the Terms & Conditions if the losses are a foreseeable consequence of ART B&B’s breach and no more than three times the fee payable in respect of your stay. Losses are foreseeable where you and/or ART B&B could contemplate them at the time our agreement was formed. ART B&B is not responsible for indirect losses that are not foreseeable by you or ART B&B (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity).

Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the material contained on the ART B&B website is accurate, we do not warrant or represent its accuracy and disclaim to the maximum extent permitted by law all warranties expressed or implied by statute, custom or usage relating to the information contained in the website.

We shall have no responsibility for any property left in or damaged as a result of being in your ART B&B hotel room during your stay. The laws of England and Wales shall apply to the ART B&B website and the Terms and Conditions and court proceedings relating thereto may only be commenced in England and Wales.

Data Protection

We will retain all personal information which you provide. We may in some circumstances need to pass this information to other persons and it may also be provided to security and/or credit checking companies, credit and debit card companies, government and enforcement agencies and public authorities if so required, or as required by law. This may involve sending your personal information between different countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area where controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in the UK.

We will not pass on your contact or personal details to any third party, other company or marketing organisation without your permission.

Trademarks

The material on the ART B&B website is the copyright of ART B&B CIC. You may not download or use the material on the website for your own commercial or non-commercial, private use or on social media platforms. The material may not be reproduced, published, distributed, amended, downloaded or otherwise used unless you have obtained ART B&B’s express permission.

Children

Children under the age of 5 can stay free of charge at our hotel, when sharing a room with a paying adult where a suitable room is available. Availability of suitable rooms is limited. The hotel will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer

Guests with Impaired Mobility

ART B&B endeavours to offer the same high-quality facilities to our less able-bodied guests. Disabled toilets are available in public areas and we have some rooms with more accessible space and wet rooms with emergency call pull chords (with lovely slate tiles, and snazzy chrome fittings – not the cheap white powder coated options that you normally get).

We have a lift to the upper floor bedrooms, but some bedrooms still have a small number of stairs on landings to negotiate before getting to the room. Please ask when booking which rooms would best suit your needs (info is also on the room booking info on our website).

Pets

Pets are not permitted in any part of the hotel except the ground floor bar, with the exception of guide dogs or exceptionally well-behaved stick insects.

Car Parking and Public Transport

We only have two spaces available at the rear of the hotel £10 a day per car on a first come first served basis, please enquire and book direct with the hotel in advance of your arrival to reserve a space.. There are a large number of surface and multi storey carparks in Blackpool. The nearest is Filey Place on Bank St only 25m North of ART B&B at FY1 1RN which has 35 spaces and a height restriction of 1.9m plus 4 blue badge spaces free for 3hrs. For full information on parking availability and charges, please contact the hotel directly or Blackpool Council Parking Blackpool North train station is only 0.3 miles (literally round the corner and up 1 street – a 6 minute walk (or less depending on leg length).

Tram stops along the prom in both directions are only a 1 min walk in either direction.

Pink transparent horse-drawn illuminated pumpkin shaped carriages are available for trips along the prom (seriously, this is Blackpool) from outside Blackpool Tower.

There used to be an airport but no point in telling you that now.

Arrival and Departure

We do our utmost to make sure hotel rooms are all available from 2pm on the day of arrival, but if you arrive early and there is a suitable, fresh, clean room available, you’ll be the first to know. As we are only a small team, and we operate on a quick turnaround and in order to maintain our high standards Check out time is 10am.

All of our rooms are individual so we absolutely will try our utmost to ensure you get the specific room you chose but, if for some reason neither of us can envisage (like a miniature tornado, or a drain problem), but we will bend over backwards (this is ‘turn of phrase’ not an actual damaging physical act) to accommodate you in a room just as good or better. Your room will be held for your arrival until 11.00am the morning following the first night of your reservation. In the event of a non-arrival, we reserve the right to re-sell the room at this point as an empty room isn’t doing anyone any good!

Room Types

Each one is different – ART B&B hotel rooms vary by size, location, view, number of beds and artwork contained – frankly it was a bad idea, we should have done what Travelodge do but it’s too late now and we just have to go for it – BUT we, and lots of great artists, have created them all with love and care. Take a bit of time to pick the one you want on the website or booking engine as each is a different experience. If it happens not to be to your liking and we have something else available that you would prefer in the same price bracket we will happily change for you (before you unpack ideally). Please ensure that your booking reflects your requirement.

Most of our rooms have Kingsize beds. We do have other options of a Twin (which can also be a kingsize), Family rooms for up to 5, and even some bijou bunk rooms with 2 or 4 beds for friends or families or travelling troubadours who need something to fit their pocket better.

Requests

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to:

– accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
– make alternative date/room-type arrangements with us; or
– cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to us in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).

For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any online booking.

Complaints or Comments

We take our guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at ART B&B should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve it immediately.

Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified by email to manager@artbb.org
